Life is a Ceremony. Earth is a Temple.

— A LIVING TRADITION

Copal Resin is wild harvested once a year, during the rainy season — the months when mature trees have enough water and life to give their resin.

For that to happen, each tree receives a small, precise cut, made by hand. The resin slowly seeps from the wound and hardens in the open air, gathered only once it's ready.

For generations, it has accompanied ceremony, gratitude, and celebration — and continues to do so today.

— OUR JOURNEY

It began with a wish to always have enough copal to share. Every hand that has touched this path since is part of why Temple Copal exists today.

— MOMENTS OF INTENTION

A new day. A prayer made visible. A moment to create.

A safe space.
The scent of nature.

There is no right way.
Only your intention.

— OUR COLLECTION

One tradition. Different expressions.

Built around one extraordinary ingredient.

White Copal Incense
from $26.00

Ten sticks of pure White Copal in every pack.

The resin is wild-harvested and traditionally collected from the tree (read the full harvest story in Sourcing). From there, each stick is layered by hand and left to rest for 7 to 10 days — long enough for the resin to harden and its oils to settle, for a smoke that burns whiter, sweeter, and richer.

  • Pure White Copal resin — no synthetic or artificial fragrances

  • Wild-harvested by cooperatives in Mexico

  • Rested for 7 to 10 days before packaging, for a deeper, rounder scent

  • Each stick burns 90+ minutes — let it burn completely, or put it out and relight it anytime

INGREDIENTS

100% Pure White Copal Resin (Bursera bipinnata and copallifera), Bamboo Stick, Charcoal

Layered by hand around a bamboo core — first ground copal, then charcoal, then dipped in a final coat of liquid copal resin. The charcoal is what allows the incense to hold an ember and burn.

INCENSE QUANTITY

10 sticks per pack

SUGGESTED USE

Light the tip with a match or lighter, holding the stick at an angle, tip pointing down — this keeps the melted copal from dripping and causing a burn. Let it catch for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame — the ember will keep burning. Place in a fire-safe holder. Extinguish and relight anytime; it doesn't need to burn all at once.

1 pack — Just for you - $26

3 packs — One to keep, two to share - $69

5 packs — Enough for you, and for every home you visit - $110
